This exceptionally large Northern Pike was caught in Whiteclay Lake by one of the Ogoki Frontier Guests.

At 180 feet in length and 950 horsepower, the James Whalen was built to
tow heavy steamers and break ice 40 inches thick. Source of the first marine
wireless message ever sent from the Lakehead, today she is a permanently
moored feature of the Kaministiquia Riverfront Heritage Park.

An oldtimer shows how to minimize the impact on the environment using only native animals to remove select trees for lumber.
The oldtimer goes on to explain that Moose are best for swampy areas because it's their natural habitat and machines only get stuck in the swamps.
